So, another month is over. And it’s been my third on the Shaklee 180 Turnaround program.
How am I feeling about this month? Eh. Not so great.
Ever notice how one kinda insignificant decision can snowball into a series of bad decisions? That kinda describes my month. It mostly happened because of events going on during the month. We had my twin daughter’s first birthday party, a date night, and Memorial Day weekend, which kinda sorta lasted more than a weekend. The more bad decisions I made, the easier it felt to make those mistakes and eventually I realized I had not been accountable most of the month. Even though I was still stickign to my personal training, let’s face it, there won’t be weight loss if you’re not eating right.
At first, I really felt bummed and thought about the wasted month on this great program. How could I be wasting such an incredible opportunity? And how would I get back on track? For me, I believe that diet/health and fitness is like a constant Domino Effect – but with either good decisions or poor decisions.
Just as those poor decisions can lead to more poor decisions, when I’m on a roll with good decisions, it’s really easy to stick to it and keep the momentum going. There is nothing like those weeks where I’m sticking to the Shaklee 180 program and I’m feeling great, working out and I step on the scale and it’s down….it’s the best feeling. It’s easy to keep going those days.
So my goal for the next month is to let the good decisions outweigh the poor decisions. I want to get back to those weeks where I feel unstoppable. I have the Shaklee 180 Program in my corner, a great personal training staff at the center I work out at…the rest is quite simply in my hands.
I know I have not ‘failed’ but I know I could have done a lot better this month.
