Inspired by Success: Week 14 Nutrisystem #NSNation

Since starting Nutrisystem, I love reading the experiences of others who have had success, like me, while on the program. One recent story of success really hit home to me – and that’s the success story of Keishia Kemp. She’s around the same age as me, same height and started at a dress size around the same as me. She lost 40 pounds in 8 months time* with determination and hard-work. I’m inspired because if she can do that in that amount of time, I can surely reach my 20 pound goal! I love that she incorporated dance and movement into her weight loss and is now healthier, which is the most important goal of all. 

The best advice she offered was that of changing your mindset and how Nutrisystem helps you do that. She advocates that with the help of the program, you don’t have to stop eating, you just have to eat better. I can see that this does truly work. You do learn from Nutrisystem that you can eat – you don’t have to starve and that you just have to change your relationship with the food, the quality and quantity of your meals. 
Heading onward into a new week, I’m down 2.5 pounds this week! I would love a repeat of that, but will be happy with anything downward. If nothing else, I’ve learned that slow and steady is the best way to go. In addition, I’m going to take another piece of Keishia’s advice to make exercise something that I enjoy and find fun. I’ve been starting to dread my walk/jogs in the double stroller – mostly because of the weather. So, I recognize I may not be as motivated. Instead, I’m going to find something indoors for the winter – maybe a fun class or something I can do with a friend. Plus, changing it up has to be good and maybe even give me a bit of a jumpstart!
