Finding the right skin care products for my son’s sensitive skin has always been a challenge. Often, I have a ‘mish-mash’ of products – some working sometimes, others for when his skin is acting up. After having the opportunity to try Tellurian Baby, I’m impressed that this is an entire line of skin care/baby care products that I can rely on.
Tellurian Baby was created by celebrity mom Jane Leeves (television’s Frasier) and Ron Lewis (grandfather to four), Tellurian Baby was born of a desire to pay more careful attention to what was being put into these baby skin care products. What is unique about the products is that they are advanced and effective – without using harsh chemicals- keeping the products pure and gentle for baby. And when you purchase these products, which benefit your child, you are helping children all over the world – Tellurian Baby donates a portion of their profits to charities helping children.
I had the opportunity to try their amazing line with my son – and we loved all the products we tried. To start, I love the unique and fun packaging, with the pump bottle design. Not only is it easy to dispense in a hurry, the color coded labels make it easy to grab the right product at bed, bath or changing time. I also loved that all of the products are hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested and free of: Phthalates, Parabens, Formaldehyde, Propylene Glycol, 1,4 Dioxane and Mineral Oil.
The 2-In-1 Shampoo/Body Wash was my favorite out of everything I tried. The ease and simplicity at bath time in this combo product are perfect for my impatient toddler. The smell is just great and the tear-free, gentle formula makes it safe as well. Best of all, my son experienced no irritation or redness as he often does with new products we try. This will become a staple for us at bath time!
We also had the opportunity to try the separate Body Wash and Shampoo. Both of which are great! These are nice to have on hand when you have longer for bath time, and want to focus more on cleaning. The 2-in-1 is great for those quick baths. With a different, but equally great, light scent, these products work well. The body wash rinses away easily, leaving my son’s skin very smooth. I felt that this body wash had great moisturizing qualities to it – as my son’s skin didn’t dry up right away after bath. The Shampoo left my son’s hair smelling great and provided nice manageability for his often unmanageable hair!
The Lotion is another great product in this line. Not oily or greasy, it goes on smooth and really helps to keep my son’s skin moisturized. I even used some myself, as my skin is equally as finicky and I really liked it. It absorbs into the skin, locking in moisture, rather just sit on the surface. My son can often develop a rash in the summer time from sweating/combination of moisturizers used on skin, but I noticed he did not when using this product. Works for me!!
The Diaper Cream was something I was a little reluctant to try. We have a tried/true diaper rash ointment that works for us. I did try this one, and I find it to be very gentle and healing, so I was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely keep our other product on hand for severe diaper rashes, but I think this product is great for daily diaper changes, preventative or early rashes.
Finally, Unscented Baby Oil is a great after-bath moisturizer. We don’t use Baby Oil too much in the spring and summer months, but I definitely know that this product will come in handy post-bath come this winter. I do like the Unscented feature, as many oils tend to be very overpowering.
